Where n is the number of entities.

Calculation:

J₁ = \({sales \ of \ bikes \ by(P+Q+R)\over3 }\)

J₁ = \({200+100+500\over3 }\)

J1 = \({800\over3}\)

Now, J2 = \({sales \ of \ cars \ by(S+R+T)\over3 }\)

J2 = \({1000+700+800\over3}\)

J2 = \({2500\over3}\)

J1 : J2 = \({800\over3}\) : \(2500\over3\)

⇒ 8 : 25

∴ The value of J₁:J₂ is '8 : 25'.
