Formula used:

Radius (r) = \(\frac{d}{2}\)

Surface area of a sphere = \(4\pi r^2\)

Value of \(\pi = \frac{22}{7}\)

Calculations:

Radius (r) = \(\frac{112}{2}\)

⇒ r = 56 cm

Surface area of the sphere = \(4 \times \frac{22}{7} \times (56)^2\)

⇒ Surface area = \(4 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 56 \times 56\)

⇒ Surface area = \(4 \times 22 \times 8 \times 56\)
