Download Solution PDFA, B and C invested ₹10,000, ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 respectively. After one year each of A and B invested ₹5,000 more, while C withdrew ₹10,000. What will be the ratio of profit of A, B and C after three years from starting?
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Investments of A = ₹10,000 for 1 year and ₹15,000 for 2 years,
B = ₹15,000 for 1 year and ₹20,000 for 2 years,
C = ₹20,000 for 1 year and ₹10,000 for 2 years.
Concept:
Ratio of profits = Ratio of investments if the rate of profit is the same
Calculation:
⇒ Total investment of A = 10,000 × 1 + 15,000 × 2 = ₹40,000
⇒ Total investment of B = 15,000 × 1 + 20,000 × 2 = ₹55,000
⇒ Total investment of C = 20,000 × 1 + 10,000 × 2 = ₹40,000
⇒ Ratio of profits = Total investment of A ∶ Total investment of B ∶ Total investment of C = 40,000 ∶ 55,000 ∶ 40,000 = 8 ∶ 11 ∶ 8
Hence, the ratio of profits of A, B, and C after three years from starting is 8 ∶ 11 ∶ 8.
