Declaration of American Independence -

On 11th June 1776, Congress appointed a "Committee of Five", consisting of John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson of Virginia, Robert R. Livingston of New York, and Roger Sherman of Connecticut, to draft a declaration. Hence option 3 is correct.
Declaration of Independence was a document that was approved by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced the separation of 13 North American British colonies from Great Britain.
It explained why the Congress on July 2 “unanimously” by the votes of 12 colonies (with New York abstaining) had resolved that “these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be Free and Independent States.”
Accordingly, the day on which final separation was officially voted was July 2, although the 4th July, the day on which the Declaration of Independence was adopted, has always been celebrated in the United States as Independence Day.
