The scheme, launched on 12 April 2005 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, is under implementation in all states and Union Territories (UTs), with a special focus on Low Performing States (LPS).
The Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is a Govt of India-sponsored Scheme which is being implemented with the objective of reducing maternal and infant mortality by promoting institutional delivery among pregnant women. Hence option 1 is correct
Under the JSY, eligible pregnant women are entitled for cash assistance irrespective of the age of the mother and number of children for giving birth in a government or accredited private health facility.
