Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution

Frequency compensation is used to
i) Avoids the unintentional creation of positive feedback because positive feedback reduces the stability of the system.
ii) To improve the bandwidth of the system.
Capacitance reactance \({X_C} = \frac{1}{{j\omega C}}\)
Inductive reactance \({X_L} = j\omega L\)
Solution:
Since, when ω = ∞ (i.e., high frequency)
Capacitive reactance is given as:
\({X_C} = {\left. {\frac{1}{{j\omega C}}} \right|_{\omega = \infty }} = 0\)
i.e. short circuit and due to short-circuit a huge current will flow and may damage the circuit.
So To compensate the capacitive reactance and inductive reactance (XL = jωLf) with inductance Lf and resistance Rf is used. So the circuit can be protected.
Hence Lf and Rf are used for high-frequency compensation only.
