Question
Download Solution PDFIn ΔPQR, ∠Q = 90°, PQ = 8 cm and ∠PRQ = 45°. Find the length of QR.
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
In ΔPQR, ∠Q = 90°, PQ = 8 cm and ∠PRQ = 45°.
Concept used:
1. The sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°.
2. An isosceles triangle has both two equal sides and two equal angles.
Calculation:
According to the concept,
∠QPR = 180° - 90° - 45° = 45°
So, ΔPQR is an isosceles right-angled triangle at Q and PR is the hypotenuse.
Hence, PQ = QR = 8 cm
∴ The length of QR is 8 cm.
