Given:

Quantity of rice 1 = 10 kg

Price of rice 1 = ₹62/kg

Quantity of rice 2 = 14 kg

Price of rice 2 = ₹50/kg

Formula used:

Average price per kg = (Quantity 1 × Price 1 + Quantity 2 × Price 2) / (Quantity 1 + Quantity 2)

Calculation:

Average price per kg = (10 × 62 + 14 × 50) / (10 + 14)

⇒ Average price per kg = (620 + 700) / 24

⇒ Average price per kg = 1320 / 24

⇒ Average price per kg = ₹55/kg

∴ The correct answer is option (3).
