Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Two varieties of tea, one costing Rs. 320 per kg and another costing Rs. 240 per kg.
He sells the mixture at Rs. 325.68 per kg
Average CP of mixed tea when mixed in ratio 9:11
Formula used:
Profit = SP - CP
Profit % = (Profit / CP) × 100
Calculation:
Average CP of mixed tea when mixed in ratio 9:11
⇒ \((320×9 + 240×11)\over(9+11)\) = \((2,880+2,640)\over20\)
CP = \(5520\over20\) = Rs. 276
SP = Rs. 325.68
Profit = 325.68 - 276 = Rs. 49.68
Gain % = \(49.68\over276\) × 100 = 18%
∴ The gain percentage is 18%.
