As per the given question,

One day a man left his home for a morning walk and went 12 km southwards. He then turned right and walked 8 km. Again turned right and walked 12 km, turned left and walked 10 km.

Thus, the following diagram can be drawn:

Distance between EA = ED + DA

= 10 + 8

= 18 km

Clearly, the man has to walk '18 km' to reach straight to his home.

Hence, the correct answer is "18 km".
