Concept:

Bypass Factor represents the fractional part of total inlet air which is not in contact with the coil.

Bypass factor of a cooling coil is given by

\(BPF = \frac{{{T_{outlet}} - {T_{coil}}}}{{{T_{inlet}} - {T_{coil}}}}\)
