यदि त्रिज्या R1 तथा R2 के दो वृत्त बाहरी रूप से स्पर्श करते हैं तो उनकी सीधी उभयनिष्ठ स्पर्शरेखा होती है = 2√(R1 तथा R2)
गणना:
R1 = 18 सेमी
R2 = 8 सेमी
इसलिए, सीधी उभयनिष्ठ स्पर्शरेखा = 2√(18 × 8)
