वेन के विस्थापन नियम के अनुसार, अधिकतम एकवर्णी उत्सर्जक शक्ति और एक कृष्णिका  (T) के निरपेक्ष तापमान के अनुरूप तरंग दैर्ध्य (λmax) का गुणनफल स्थिर होता है।
