Ajay, Basheer, and Clinton together complete the work in 8 days.

Formula:

Work = Time × Efficiency

Calculation:

Total work = LCM(20, 40, 8) = 40 units

Efficiency of Ajay = 40/20 = 2

Efficiency of Basheer = 40/40 = 1

Efficiency of Ajay + Basheer + Clinton = 40/8 = 5

Now, we find the efficiency of Clinton:

Efficiency of Clinton = (Efficiency of Ajay + Basheer + Clinton) - (Efficiency of Ajay + Basheer)

⇒ Efficiency of Clinton = 5 - (2 + 1) = 5 - 3 = 2

Time taken by Clinton to complete the work = 40 / 2 = 20 days

Therefore, Clinton alone can do the work in 20 days.
