Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump on Sunday said that America has no role in the attack on Iran. His statements come amid the ongoing exchange of attacks between Israel and Iran.
Trump Warns, “If Attacked…”
President Trump wrote on Truth Social, “The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape, or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before. However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”

Marco Rubio Calls Iranian Strikes ‘Unilateral’
Earlier on Friday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the Iranian strikes “unilateral” and said that Washington’s priority is to protect its armed forces in the region. Rubio wrote on X, “Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran, and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that it believes this action was necessary for its self-defense. President Trump and the Administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran should not target US interests or personnel.”
Israel-Iran Conflict
Israel recently launched “Operation Rising Lion,” striking Iranian military and nuclear sites. Iran, on the other hand, retaliated with ballistic missiles at the rival country. The attacks claimed lives on both sides. As per the latest update, Iran on Saturday night launched missiles and a drone barrage at a strategic complex near Israel’s Haifa. As Tehran attacked the port city, reportedly killing four people and injuring dozens, sirens were sounded across the country.
Meanwhile, in a post on X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday confirmed that it had completed a series of airstrikes targeting key locations in Tehran linked to Iran’s nuclear weapons program. According to the IDF, the strikes targeted the Iranian Ministry of Defense headquarters, the headquarters of the SPND nuclear project, and other facilities associated with Iran’s nuclear development efforts.
