Israel has asked its citizens located globally to remain alert while asking them not to display Jewish and Israeli symbols. It is also shutting its embassies around the world.
Israel Targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities
Israel has posted statements on the websites of its embassies. The development comes after Israel launched a military operation against Iran’ nuclear facilities. It also stated that it would not provide consular access, and its citizens could approach the security services if they encountered any hostile situation.
It has not mentioned any timeline for normal operations, reports suggested after no response was received at the embassy in Berlin.
Germany enhances security of Jewish people
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz spoke to Netanyahu and assured him that Germany will increase protection of Jewish and Israeli institutions
Merz posted on X, “We reaffirm that Israel has the right to defend its existence and the security of its citizens. We call on both sides to refrain from steps that could lead to further escalation and destabilize the entire region. We have agreed in the Security Cabinet to take all necessary precautions to protect German citizens in Israel, Iran, and the region. Security authorities in Germany will increase protection of Jewish and Israeli institutions.”

‘We have ‘significantly damaged’ the Natanz nuclear site’
IDF spokesman Brig. Gen. Efi Defferin announced that Israeli forces continue to strike targets in Iran, having “significantly damaged” the Natanz nuclear site.
He warned of a prolonged operation, stating, “Iran has intentions and capabilities” and is preparing to respond.
Defferin urged the public to remain calm, noting that while defences are active, they are not hermetic. “We have no choice but to act against this threat,” he said.
‘Very successful opening strike’
Earlier, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu announced a “very successful opening strike” carried out by Israeli forces, expressing confidence in further achievements with divine support.
He stated, “After a very successful opening strike, we hit the senior command, we hit the select scientists who are advancing the development of atomic bombs, we hit the nuclear facilities. We are making great achievements, but I also know, and you know, there are no free wars. Therefore, I ask you again to listen carefully to the orders of the senior command, and it is very likely that you will be required to spend a long time, much longer than we have been used to so far, in the protected areas.”
