Rajasthan: 95-Year-Old Man Marries Partner After 70 Years Of Live-In

A 95-year-old man named Rama Angari from Rajasthan's Dungarpur district married his 90-year-old partner Jeevli Devi after living together for 70 years under the traditional tribal Nata system.

A heartwarming love story an elderly couple from Rajasthan’s Dungarpur district is going viral on social media, leaving many people astonished (and shocked). In the tribal village of Galandar, the elderly couple decided to start a new chapter in life by getting married after living together for 70 years. Strange, isn’t it?

According to News18, Rama Bhai Kharari (95) and Jeewali Devi (90) lived together for 70 years, that’s seven decades. Although the couple never got married, they had and raised together six children, and together lived based on love, compassion and mutual understanding.

The surprising part is the oldest child is now 60 years old and all children have their families. The report also stated that while now the concept of live-in-relationships is evolving, it was practiced far back in tribal society.

The couple had recently said they wanted to marry after many years living together. To honour their wish, their children arranged a huge wedding for their parents, and made it a joyful affair for the whole village. Put the bindouli (the music, dancing and tradition of the seven-fere) together, and after the ceremony, the group feasted!
