Free smartphones scheme: The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gahlot has recently announced the scheme to provide free smartphones to over 1 crore 30 lakh women of Rajasthan under the new programme named ” Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojna 2023″.
The free smartphone scheme will be launched today. It is informed that in the first phase, 40 lakh women will be benefitted from the scheme and will get smartphones with 3 years of free internet data.
The State government has set up camps to distribute smartphones under this scheme. Separate camps will be set up in each district of the State.

Eligibility criteria for the scheme:
The applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan
The applicant must have a connection with Chiranjeevi family
The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh
The family members of the applicant should not be engaged in government jobs.
Female students in 9th to 12th class enrol under government schools in Rajasthan
Female students enrolled under the high college.
Widows and single women getting government pensions.
Women who do 100 days working under MNREGA
Women who completed 50 days under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment gurantee scheme.
