On June 15, everyone sent wishes to their fathers, but the most adorable wish came from former India captain Virat Kohli’s kids. His son, Akaay, who is just a year old, wrote a beautiful note for his father on Father’s Day. Akaay was born on February 15, 2024, to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. He is their second child after daughter Vamika Kohli. Although later the post was taken down by Anushka Sharma. But the note by Vamika still exists on Anushka Sharma’s Instagram.

Virat Kohli Test Retirement

On May 12, 2025, Virat Kohli retired from Test cricket, bringing an end to a 14 years career in the longest form of the game. He ends his Test career after the 9,230 runs in 123 matches as the fourth-highest run-scorer in Tests in India. Kohli is also the record maker of winning the most amount of matches as an Indian captain having won 40 of the contributing 68 matches in Test Cricket.

Reason For Retirement

The call of retirement took place after a tough tour in Australia whereby Kohli scored just 190 runs with an average of 23.75. However, in the following matches, his performance faded even though in the initial test, he had played 100 years. With hindsight however, Kohli accepted that it was hard to sustain the top gear during his mid-30s, and alluded that he may not visit Australia again on a tour .

India Aiming To Win in England After 18 Years

Team India has already toured in England 19 times and has only been able to win the Test series three times. Team India had not been able to win the series in England even after 18 years and the last time India won the Test series in England was with the leadership of Rahul Dravid. Now, because of which, Gill would want to ensure India to win the Test series in England after a period of 18 years.
