Mumbai Indians registered a win against Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Thursday. Captain Hardik Pandya took MI to a record victory at RR’s home base with both bat and ball.
Batters Set The Tone With A Record First Innings Total
Mumbai piled up a mammoth 217/2 after being invited to bat. The innings was led by a clinical batting performance, with Pandya still at the crease on 48 off 23 balls. The MI top order laid the platform before the middle order went into overdrive in the final overs, pushing the total out of RR’s reach.
Boult And Karn Lead Ruthless Bowling Attack
Chasing 218, RR crumbled under pressure. MI’s bowlers came out firing, with Trent Boult and Karn Sharma leading the charge both picking up three wickets each. Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for just 117 in 16.1 overs, suffering one of their heaviest defeats this season.
Historic Win Under Hardik Pandya’s Captaincy
This win was a record in MI history the third time a Mumbai Indians captain has guided the team to victory at Jaipur. Hardik Pandya became a part of an elite group together with Sachin Tendulkar (2010) and Harbhajan Singh (2012) as the only MI captains to have triumphed at the Royals’ stronghold.

Breaking The Jaipur Jinx
This win also ended a long-standing curse for MI in Jaipur. The Royals had beaten Mumbai in five consecutive matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium before this encounter. MI’s previous away victories over RR came at neutral venues Ahmedabad in 2014 and DY Patil in 2022 but this result reasserted their dominance directly in RR’s backyard.
