Japan’s Teriyaki Chicken is famous across the globe;it’s popular for its rich and sweet-savory taste which is also very quick to prepare and satisfactory for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- Chicken breasts (2 boneless)
- soy sauce (1/4 cup)
- mirin (2 tbsp)
- brown sugar/honey (2 tbsp)
- oil (1 tbsp)
- garlic (1 clove)
- grated ginger (1 tbsp)
- and chopped green onions for garnish.
Step By Step Guide
Make The Teriyaki Sauce
Mix soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, minced garlic and grated ginger altogether in a bowl and set aside.
Prepare The Chicken
Add chicken breasts in a pan heated over medium heat and let it cook for about 5-6 minutes until it is golden brown and well cooked.
Add The Sauce
Drizzle the prepared Teriyaki sauce over the chicken and simmer it for 3-5 minutes meanwhile, turn the chicken breasts to coat the sauce evenly and let it thicken in a while.
Garnish
After the chicken is cooked and is completely tender, remove it from the pan and slice it, drizzle the remaining sauce over it.
