UK Extends Support To Families Of British Nationals Affected By Ahmedabad Plane Crash, Says British High Commission

The United Kingdom offers support to the affected families of British nationals in the tragic plane accident in Ahmedabad. British High Commission in India mentioned on their X handle that, “Our consular team and local partners are on the ground in Ahmedabad, offering care and support to affected families and friends of British nationals following the tragic plane crash. High Commissioner Lindy Cameron visited the UK Consular Reception Centre today. On June 12, 2025, an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner (AI 171) crashed in the Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad. All passengers who were on board the aircraft lost their lives, except for one. The plane was carrying 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian citizen. In the incident, several medical students present at the BJ Medical College campus, including four MBBS students and a doctor’s wife, also died.
