An Air India Express aircraft was delayed for an hour after a glitch was noticed before takeoff at Hindon Airport in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.
Aircraft faces glitch on runway
According to NDTV, flight number IX 1511 was stranded for an hour after an unexpected glitch was noticed on the runway. The aircraft was primarily involved in defence operations but recently started commercial operations.
Air India’s subsidiary acknowledged the glitch and issued an apology to the passengers for the delay.
Crew noticed the glitch
Airport sources told NDTV that the aircraft had taxied to the runway and was about to take off, but the crew suddenly noticed the glitch.
Air India plane crashed
On June 12, an Al-171 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was on its way to London when it crashed soon after take-off from Ahmedabad International Airport . The plane went down into the premises of a medical college in Meghaninagar. Out of the 242 people on board, only one survived the crash.
On Saturday, Air India announced that an interim financial assistance package of Rs 25 lakh (approximately GBP 21,000) will be provided to the “families of the deceased and to the survivor” in the tragic crash of the London-bound Air India flight that rammed into a doctors’ hostel in the Meghani Nagar area in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad shortly after it took off from Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport on Thursday.
Tata-owned airline expressed its solidarity with the families
In a post on X, the Tata-owned airline stated that the package was in addition to the Rs 1 crore support already announced by Tata Sons. The airline further expressed its solidarity with the families of the people who lost their lives.
