Dipika Kakar has finally returned from the hospital after a 14-hour-long surgery for liver cancer. She worried her fans after she revealed her diagnosis of stage two liver cancer and her husband Shoaib Ibrahim has been giving updates about her health. Shoaib reveals that the past few days have been difficult and the surgery went well.
He said in the YouTube vlog, “She got discharged after 11 days and has come for a check-up. These past few days have been incredibly difficult for me and my family, but we are thankful for everyone’s prayers and support. This is just one part; a lot of things are still ahead. Everything is fine right now, but we’ve only crossed one milestone. There are still many things ahead that we have to look into. As the doctors guide us, we’ll keep following that. But the major part — the surgery — went well. Dipika is also recovering well. Yes, there are still a lot of things pending that need to be done. Hopefully, those will also go well.”
Further talking about Dipika’s health, Shoib said, “Everything is fine, but we’ll have to keep coming back for follow-ups because the tumour was malignant. That situation has to be monitored. Also, they’ve asked us to come back in a week. After that, they’ll decide what further treatment is needed — whether something needs to be done or not. For now, we’re taking it one step at a time”.
Dipika earlier became emotional while talking about her health and thanked her fans for their constant love and support in the tough times. While talking about her health and surgery, Dipika said in the vlog, “Bas iss waqt itna hi bolungi — aap logon ne bohot duaein ki hain, uske liye dil se thank you. Hospital mein bhi staff, nurses, alag-alag jagahon se aake bol rahe the, ‘Ma’am, aap theek ho jaoge.’ Dusre patients ke relatives bhi bol rahe the, ‘Hum aapke liye pray kar rahe the.’ Unke apne bachhe, father hain, lekin phir bhi woh mere liye dua kar rahe the. Yeh saari cheezein bohot maayne rakhti hain. I am feeling much better. Bohot achhe se recovery ho rahi hai. Main ab kaafi better hoon.”

For the unversed, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim got married in 2018 after dating for a few years. They also have a son named Ruhaan.
