Actor Tom Cruise has surprised the Cannes Film Festival with the grand premiere of his one of the known franchise’s movie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. The film’s screening received a great five-minute standing ovation, leaving the fans happy and Tom Cruise visibly emotional.

After the screening at the Grand Theatre, Tom stood up to thank the audience. Videos are circulating on social media, has captured him walking down the aisle, clutching his heart as the crowd applauded. Along with him director Christopher McQuarrie and the film’s cast, including Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Angela Bassett, Pom Klementieff and more.

“I’m very grateful to be a part of this franchise,” Tom said, acknowledging the team’s efforts. He specially thanked McQuarrie, who has till now directed four Mission: Impossible films.
Tom Cruise later shared heartfelt gestures with his colleagues seen exchanging kisses and hugs with guests like Zoe Saldaña and Marco Perego-Saldaña.
Variety reported that the evening began with a grand welcome, a live 40-piece orchestra played the franchise’s iconic theme as guests entered the theatre, setting the tone for the memorable night.
About Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
The latest instalment sees Tom Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt, with Christopher McQuarrie returning as director. Originally planned as Dead Reckoning – Part Two, the film was retitled to reflect its significance as a key chapter in the series.
The star-studded cast also includes Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman and Greg Tarzan Davis. Presented by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, the film is set to release in Indian cinemas on 17 May, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
